4 Stars Perfect for the average scrapper
I was looking for a basic cutting machine that wouldn’t cost a few hundred dollars. I also wanted it to be Cricut brand. This was a reasonable price and is perfect for cutting titles, shapes, etc. It also came with a basic font cartridge which suits my needs fine for now.

Amazon had the best price I could find online.

4 Stars Great product for basic crafting and scrapbooking!
It’s a great product and very simple to use. All you have to do is follow the instructions in the manual that comes with the machine. Once you get past the initial set-up which is not that complicated (all you have to do is insert the cartridge and the razor) and that takes about 5 minutes, you’re good to go.

The only problem is the cutting pad; on your first few cuts, the pad sticks to the paper (especially if you use a regular paper, cardstock is the best choice for this machine). Place the cardstock on the pad and gently press it with your fingers so it stays put. You don’t have to press hard. Also, the pad lasts longer than what the manual says, just make sure you place the protecting sheet back on it when you’re done.

The other problem, well… it’s the price of new cartridges. The machine comes only with one basic cartridge and manual for alphabets and some basic tags and shapes. For anything fancy, you will need to purchase a new cartridge for each font. Check the price of cartridges for different fonts online before you purchase this product (if pricing is one of your concerns), otherwise, you’re stuck with one font (and not a fancy one).

I love my Personal Cricut! It is very easy to use. The creative possibilities are endless. I have made decorations for fellowship suppers at church, made signs, as well as used it to scrapbook. It is a quick and easy to use machine. I highly recommend it!

4 Stars Good Machine For Making Detailed Cuts – Recommended
The Cricut Personal Cutting Machine is a very easy to use die cutter. It is a great choice for making crafts, signs, and scrapbooking much more professional looking.

While not inexpensive, it has been a good investment for us since we use it to make letters for signs in our shop. An added “bonus” for us is that it is handy to use to make letters for our kids sceince fair display boards.

We have not had any issues cutting heavy card stock and have been pleased with the overall performance of the cutter. It is a good idea to read the manual.

After I attended a scrapbooking retreat and used the Cricut I knew I had to have one and I just love it! This is the best thing ever! I agree that cartridges can be pricey but I have found a reliable site that sells them all for a reasonable cost. I now have my own Cricut but only buy my supplies from the link below.
