3 Stars The Handyman Business Guide to Success
Bob Cheal does a fair job of introducing the topic. If you have ever owned your own business you will be somewhat disappointed. If you have never worked for yourself, Bob has a good outline of what you need to know to start a business, but you will want much more detail. For example: It would be helpful if he showed you what an effective website looked like; some actual ads would be good. Bob tells you to take credit cards, but I would like to know exactly how to do that. Many of the pictures need to be improved. Cheal has made a good start. Now he needs to hire a professional graphic designer and editor and start over on the expanded second edition.
3 Stars Great repair info. Pricing is a joke.
No wonder that this guy wrote an overpriced book. If he charged what he said he did. The overhead, in gas alone, would have bankrupted him. Don’t waste your money.
5 Stars Outstanding resource!
This book has all the pertinent details in a very easy-to-read format. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to start a handyman business.
5 Stars Great Book! Thank you, Bob!
Bob Cheal’s book shares a wealth of knowledge for all handypersons! This is a writer who knows his material from “hands on” experience. Over the years he’s handled a wide variety of projects in many homes, including ours. He’s a thoughtful problem-solver. I like to call Bob our personal house-doctor because he’s authentic, thorough and optimistic. You’ll also find these qualities reflected in his book.
