5 Stars the best drying rack ever
this is the best drying rack I’ve ever owned. its sturdy, has alot of room, dries clothes fast and most of them don’t need ironing. it doesn’t leave marks from where you drape the clothes over it. wooden racks always leave marks or stains.
i’m thinking of purchasing another so I have even more room.
we aren’t allowed to have clothes lines in the village where I live and i only use my dryer in the summer when necessary. great buy, highly recommend it. no doubled over creases and no clothes pin marks.
5 Stars Excellent Drying Rack
This is my first drying rack ever, and I am so happy with it. Folds down very compactly, and can slide next to the dryer when not in use. NO problems with rust (had for 3 months and use numerous times/wk); no problems with instability. I’ve put heavy items such as jeans and towels, and no problems. I love that it’s freestanding. Highly recommended.
3 Stars It’ll Rust, But It’s Not Terrible
I bought this a couple of years ago, figuring that all of the complaints about rusting would have been addressed. I don’t want to say that buying it was a mistake, but the complaints proved to be largely accurate. This has become progressively more rusty in the intervening couple of years, but it’s rusting only on the bolts. The bars on which clothes are hung are intact, so it’s not like any rust is getting on my clothes. Its utility hasn’t been affected, but I have to assume that eventually it will be. Right now, though, it’s still working. I wouldn’t buy it again, given the chance, but it’s not like I’m unhappy to own it.
My next drying rack will be wooden, I think. They seem to be expensive (i.e. Drying Rack – Wooden – 28 Ft (White Pine) (41″h x 30″w)), but with less to rust, it seems to be a sensible choice.
2 Stars not good
i was completely shocked once i received the rack. most of the reviews gave this item a 4 or 5 but i honestly think it sucks. first of all this rack is not made for adult clothes but really for kids. if you hang a shirt or shorts it completely covers the bottom racks which then become useless. second of all the 4 racks on top can barely fit 2 clothing pieces! third of all the rack is not sturdy which basically means you cant place heavy items on it like towels because otherwise it will fall. i can say this…if you have small children this definitely can work for you but otherwise it sucks!
1 Star DO NOT BUY – Rusts w/in 1 month!
I have purchased similar chrome racks over the years and have never had a problem with them, specifically with rust (even after 3-4 years of use). I bought this horrible product and it rusted after one month of careful, normal, indoor use. This product is a complete rip-off. You should only buy this rack if you don’t mind your clean clothes hanging on a rusty rung. I wish I had listened to previous reviews that warned of rust. Please do not buy! Horrible product!
