2 Stars Eh…doesn’t perform as described
I purchased this blade with hopes of cutting chipboard. It didn’t now work at all. It only penetrated about half of the chipboard material. I gave it two stars because it did come in handy as a better blade for cutting glitter paper.
2 Stars Minimal improvement over standard blade.
I purchased the Cricut Deep Cut Blade assembly for my Cricut Expressions machine because I knew I would be cutting thicker materials like chip board and thin foam. The standard blade is really not appropriate for anything thicker than typical construction paper. But, the “Deep Cut” blade won’t cut through my chip board even on the deepest setting.
Cricut needs to be more specific regarding the thickness of materials it can handle and of the depths associated with different blade settings. There is way too much trial and error involved with adjusting depth settings.
