User Ratings and Reviews
5 Stars Excellent
Just received this pen set and I am very impressed. I purchased them to use in drawing and sketching–but I think they may cross-over into my scrapbooking. The tips are great, they do not soften. I am very impressed with the quality and the price. I agree with another reviewer; my favorites are the 005 and the 01.
5 Stars Great for taking notes too!
These pens are designed for museums (acid free environments) to use for writing their inventory numbers on their pieces. I have sloppy handwriting but when I use these pens for some reason everything is clearer. I use the .005s which allows you to underline and make notes in your text books so its easy to see even if you write very tiny notes. For some reason the ink does not bleed either. Its also water proof and fade proof; I had my notes get wet and no effect!
5 Stars The best pens for ultra-thin ink lines
These pens were a present for my mom, who loves the ultra-fine precise ink and pen strokes of them. Not for the heavy-handed. Ink lasts a good long time, too.
5 Stars Great for Architects and Interior Designers
As an Interior Designer, we were required to purchase the rapidograph pens in school but by my third and fourth year I don’t even know what happened to those – they blotched and caused havoc. The Micron pens are the only ones I use – they are great and last a while. This set is a good range to start with and never bleeds. Highly recommended!!
5 Stars the perfect feel for drawing or writing
the fiber points of these pens are just rough enough
to give the user a sense of the texture of the paper.
it’s a bit like going back to a standard transmission
after years of driving an automatic.
the inks themselves are, like some modern poetry,
marvellously opaque. images drawn with them scan and copy
beautifully. the very smallest sizes (.05 and .1) tend to
break down with rough use, but even the slightly crushed
tips give a useful line on paper.
used for writing, they encourage a light grip that makes
for less fatigue and there’s even something pleasant about
a cap that has to be removed and replaced.
