From the supplier: Pennsylvania’s time-honored Mapes 5&10 Stores and Witczak Hardware celebrated their centennial anniversaries with various promotional gimmicks. For 10 days, the seven-store Mapes 5&10 offered their patrons 1897-priced sales, raffles, party treats, giveaways and children’s entertainment. Witczak Hardware, which never transferred location since it was founded by a Polish couple, culminated its weeklong festivity of free treats and prize drawings with a citation from the municipal government for its tireless service.
