5 Stars it is handy and helpful
My wife used this machine for a year till now and she found it helpful and handy also time consuming for many actions that used to take time from her before..Threading system and button sewing also button hole controller is great.. it can be carried everywhere she needs for its light weight and easy handling .. free arm offered her greater area for sewing larger pieces ..Many other features are really amazing.
4 Stars Brother XL-3750
We received our sewing machine as promised. The 3750 was easy to thread and operate, but the instructions for setting the thread tension were confusing. After experimenting on scraps, I was able to get the correct tension. I believe it was a good investment.
5 Stars GREAT MACHINE!
I love this machine so much! I did a lot of homework before buying it. It’s better than any Singer! The only machine I have tried that I thought “wow, this is better” was my friend’s who is majoring in Fashion. Her machine is a Bernette 82e, but like she said… I’m a home sewer! Even though I sell some Lolita Clothing in some times of the year, I don’t live out of it. So this machine is more than enough. I totally reccomend this machine!!!
2 Stars Would be great if it wasn’t completely useless!
This machine had all the features I was looking for right now, but the foot pedal has only one speed setting: light speed. Which would be fine if the person doing the sewing was a robot with Matrix-like faster-than-light reflexes, or if they could slow down time or something. As is, the machine is completely useless. The slightest amount of pressure on the pedal makes the fabric shoot out so fast that it immediately gets bunched up and it is impossible to keep it straight or see what it’s doing. Other problems with this machine include: upper thread tension wheel doesn’t seem to do anything at all (something another reviewer pointed out as well!), and on my machine the tension is permanently too tight. This machine is priced so well that it’s tempting, but not if it’s just going to be a paper weight taking up space in a corner somewhere because it doesn’t work. I’m very disappointed. And with having to pay the shipping to Brother and back even though I’ve only had it for 2 weeks, it is not worth it. Not to mention they would probably just put one of the same faulty foot pedals on it (maybe these defects are why these machines are on sale at every single website I see them on). It’s painful to return this because I was really looking forward to using it, and I have all my fabric cut and ready to sew a dress right now. GRRRRrrrr!!!
4 Stars I’m a fan
I like my new Brother a lot. I completed my first project some time ago and the machine did a very good job overall. Except, when handling more than two layers of fabric or around the zipper the stitch length was somewhat irregular – but I am ready to admit that i’m not a profi sewer, so maybe a thicker needle or other adjustments may have done the trick.
I’m not 100% happy with the manual, there is some room for improvement.
But I would definitely recommend the Brother XL3750 for anybody who is looking for an easy-to-handle, fun sewing machine.
