Facts Tell and Stories Sell!

Have you ever heard the expression “facts tell and stories sell”? I am convinced this is a true statement the majority of time in the Network Marketing industry.

First of all, most people don’t want to hear numerous boring details about the products, the compensation plan, the stellar reputation of the company or the owners. People want to know what is in it for them. Bottom line…how is this product or business going to help me achieve my dreams, goals, and aspirations? What is the best way to envision how your dreams and goals will be met? Hear other people tell their testimonies about how they make six figures in the network marketing industry, how they paid for their childrens’ college tuition through their new home based business of 8 months, and how they went from being sick and tired all of the time, to regaining their youth and vigor.

When you hear others testify about their products and MLM business and what it has done for them, you immediately envision that if it can happen for them, then it can happen for you. Why not? They are not special, they are just as average as you.

So what is the point of this article? Use testimonies when promoting your business opportunity. Give them the facts as they ask the questions, give them the stories and testimonies to help them envision their goals and dreams being met through this new MLM business that you are presenting. Let me make one thing clear, though, do not exaggerate or lie, to sell or promote. Be ethical and honest and use real testimonies. If you personally do not have any to share since you are brand new to your network marketing business, then use the testimonies of your up-line or the testimonies from the company. Once you have developed your own testimony then use it. Teach your personal sales force to use this method also. Allow them to use your testimonies until they can get their own.

Using this technique does not, however, dismiss you from knowing the details about your products, MLM company and compensation plan. All of those are important, but should be discussed when the prospective customer is asking for the information. Too much information, too soon, is sometimes overwhelming to a person hearing about the network marketing opportunity or product for the first time. Sometimes feeding your prospect in small doses helps them to process the information quicker and easier.

Whatever your strategies are in building your home based business, do so with excitement, motivation, enthusiasm, honesty, and integrity. In doing so, you will be successful!
