5 Stars An awesome inexpensive tool for animators!
I really enjoyed this product and got it as a birthday present. It’s a great tool for anyone interested in traditional animation who is looking for a cheap lightboard. It works great for crafts and other projects as well, definately a great deal. I would highly suggest this product!

I bought this lightbox based on the glowing user reviews, which were ultimately misleading. This product is cheaply made and not even close to bright enough; I’m sorry that I wasted my money on it.

Don’t waste *your* money on this terrible imitation of a lightbox – save up and buy a quality product instead.

5 Stars Great little inexpensive light box!
I think this is a great product. I bought it so that I could use it to turn complex scientific illustrations into line drawings for a class I teach and it is perfect for my purposes. It’s lightweight, easy to move around, and sufficiently bright to do what I need it to do. It’s also a good size for the price – you can trace a whole sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 paper with room to spare. For anyone who wants a simple, easy to use, and inexpensive light box, this is a good choice. I imagine it might not be appropriate for very heavy use and it is perhaps not as durable as some more expensive and/or professional models. However, for anyone who will use it only occasionally or will need to move a light box around from place to place (I’m thinking scrapbookers might fall into this category), this is a great little product. I’m sure I’ll get a lot of use out of mine and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase.

4 Stars Love it
I am very pleased with this dress form. It’s very easy to use. I bought a small because I plan to put extra padding on it to more customize it and make it easier to use pins. It’s easy to adjust and seems very stable. (I had a form of another brand a few years ago and the legs kept coming off and even when they were on, the form would still fall over if I had heavy fabric on it). The only problem is that the little hemming gizmo doesn’t work very well. It won’t stay in place on the stand and keeps sliding down.

3 Stars Not for tight-fitting clothes
This dress form is very convenient. The multiple dials give you a lot of control in getting the right measurements, and the fabric-covered surface lets you pin materials to the form.

However, there is one major drawback. You can’t use the form to create tight-fitting tops or dresses, because the chest shape is not true to life! In real life, breast width transitions gradually from top to bottom, but at the bottom it cuts sharply in where the breast ends and the rib cage begins (under the cup). On this dress form though, the breasts thin out gradually on the underside as well, making the ribcage in that area disproportionately wide. With the waist and breast measurements set exactly to my own, it is *impossible* to even put my bra on the form!

It would be great for loose shirts and dresses, but keep in mind that the chest area is messed up.

For the price, this dress form is doing it’s job. It is not very sturdy, as some other reviews had said, and I have had some trouble trying to keep it up as tall as I would like it. But otherwise, when you get it to the measurements you want, the body stays at those measurements, which makes draping and fitting easy.

Extremely easy to set up, then to simply dial up measurements. The worst part was taking my measurements – reality check!

I use this for my cards. I take a strip of paper the same length as the die but larger in width, emboss it, then cut the width down to the size I want, and glue it onto my card. The result is fantastic. If you try to emboss the card itself, it leaves a faint edge indention that may bother some that’s why I emboss with the width larger than what I need. It’s a great addition.
